Trainees

Our goal is that around 100 trainees can take part and sail between some of the host ports during The Tall Ships Races 2011. No prior sailing experience is necessary, just a burning desire to be part of this wonderful experience. You must be able to swim 200m and speak relatively good English. You must also be aged between 15 and 25 in 2011.

Are you between 15 and 25 years of age? Would you like to meet young people from other countries? Do you think sailing on a Tall Ship sounds exciting? Each host port is responsible for recruiting trainees between 15 and 25 for sail training experience. Even though prizes are awarded for the fastest vessels, the most prestigious prize will go to the crew that does most to further international understanding and friendship
